Library
Question:

How do I obtain a Library card?
Answer:

Photo ID showing residency (or proof of property ownership in the City if non-resident) in the City of Oak Park grants you a resident card, giving full access to all library services. If you have recently moved, the library will also accept 2 items from the following list as proof of residency : Lease Agreement, Property Deed, Tax receipt, utility bill with your name, or bank statement. Photo ID is still required. Library cards are renewed yearly on the patrons birthday and all fines must be paid off in order for card renewal to take place. If you work within the city of Oak Park, you can receive a courtesy card which will allow you access to Oak Park Library materials only. Letter from employer or pay stub showing proof of employment will be needed, as well as photo ID. Library cards are renewed yearly on the patrons birthday and all fines must be paid off in order for card renewal to take place.
