Public Safety
Question:

What do I need to obtain an animal license and where do I go?
Answer:

In order to license your pet, you will need a current Rabies Certificate from your veterinarian. Take the certificate to the Oak Park Public Safety Records Bureau to purchase a license. The cost for a license of a neutered animal (proof required) is $7.00 annually, or $15 for a three year license. The fee for animals that are not neutered is $16.00 annually, or $30 for a three year license.  There is a $10 late fee assessed for tags acquired after December 31st.   For more information contact the Records Bureau at (248)691-7526 during business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
